The plot of Enslaved is based on the famous Chinese novel “Journey to the West”, written four centuries ago. Studio Ninja Theory moved the classic story into a post-apocalyptic future: in 150 years the world will be destroyed by war and environmental disasters, and only a few will survive. A strong and fast fighter Monkey and a young woman technician Trip were captured on one of the ships of slave owners who are looking for survivors and taken to where they are not returning from. The couple manage to escape, but Trip quickly realizes that she can only return home using Monkey. She manages to deceive her companion and put a special device on him that binds them together - if she dies, death also awaits him. So begins their journey to the west in a ruined and dangerous world.
